Braxton County Commission and Flatwoods Canoe Run PSD receives $800,000 Community Development Block Grant

The Braxton County Commission and Flatwoods Canoe Run Public Service District received a $800,000 Community Development Block Grant for the Phase II Exchange Road Water Extension Project.
This is an extension of Phase I Project that will extend services and provide quality and dependable potable water and fire protection service to approximately 39 customers in the Holly and Otter Magisterial Districts of Braxton County. The total project cost is $2,498,027. The Flatwoods Canoe Run PSD has also secured a Abandoned Mine Lands Grant for the project.
Small Cities Block Grant funding is provided by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. The Community Advancement and Development a Division of the West Virginia Development Office manages the administration of these funds.
